What Is Liraglutide?
Sep 01, 2023
Liraglutide is an acylated human glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist. When plasma glucose concentration increases, liraglutide can increase intracellular cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP), leading to insulin release and lowering blood sugar; when blood sugar concentration decreases and tends to normal, insulin secretion reduce.
This product also reduces glucagon secretion in a glucose-dependent manner, and the mechanism of reduction in blood glucose levels also involves delayed gastric emptying.
